Watercolor illustration of a grapefruit, one fruit sliced in half, surrounded by dark leafy branches.

My name is Heather Van Raden. I am a Seattle-based artist working in a variety of mediums. I was born and raised in Iowa and my art tends to reflect so much of the nature I grew up appreciating.

With the nature I grew up around in mind, I am always diligent to purchase supplies responsibly and use my materials thoughtfully.

  • Please feel free to inquire!

Generally the process goes like this:

    1. Contact me with your commission idea and we work out size and style of your piece.

    2. I send you a commission contract that will outline details and deadlines. 50% of the total cost is billed upfront to cover material costs.

    3. I make your art and we make revisions if necessary. The other half of the cost is billed, I ship you your art, and you receive your beautiful, custom piece!

  • This depends on a lot of things- what kind of canvas you want, what paint you like, the size of the piece, and the complexity of the art.

I can provide an estimate for the cost once we discuss what you are looking for.

  • I partner with Blue Bandit Co., a business that sells handmade goods. You can find my art HERE.
